In 2014, Lyca moved into the Indian movie business. Most of the movies on Lyca Productions’ roster are in the Tamil language, with several of its blockbuster movies produced in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kanadam and distributed worldwide. Many Lyca Productions movies are set to be available for streaming via Netflix in 2023, including the films listed below.
Production Number 18
As with the other movies on this list, this production doesn’t yet have a fixed title. It was written and directed by T. Arulchezhian, stars Yogi Babu and is presented by Subaskaran. Allirajah Subaskaran is the chairman of Lyca Group. Netflix India South confirmed in January via Twitter that this picture will stream on the platform as a post-theatrical release in 2023.
Production Number 20
Also coming soon to Netflix as a post-theatrical release is the as-yet untitled Production Number 20. The move stars Jay and Aishwarya Rajesh and is directed by Rohin Venkatesan.
Production Number 24
In January 2023, the news was released during Pongal (as part of the streamer celebrating ‘Netflix Pandigai’) that Lyca Productions’ twenty-fourth picture will be available as a post-theatrical release via the Netflix streaming platform. The movie stars Bharathiraja and Arulnithi, is written and directed by Harish Prabhu and produced by GKM Tamil Kumaran.

Allirajah Subashkaran: Entrepreneur and Movie Producer
The founder and chairman of Lyca Mobile, Allirajah Subashkaran is a British Sri Lankan Tamil entrepreneur and movie producer. Lyca moved into the film production industry in 2008 with the release of the studio’s debut picture Pirivom Santhippom.
In 2014, Lyca Productions released KATHI in collaboration with Ayngaran International. The movie stars Vijay and Samantha and became one of the biggest hits of Subaskaran’s career in the film industry to date.
Other movies produced by Lyca Productions include Ennaku Innoru Per Ikura (2016) and Yanam (2017). Lyca Productions has also been involved in the distribution of several movies, such as Naanym Rowdy Dhaan, Thaana Serndha Kootan and Visaranai.
